Real Madrid not prioritising the arrival of €85 million Argentine star – report

Looking ahead to Real Madrid’s next generation, there is no shortage of options in the final third. With Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes growing exponentially and the signing of Endrick close too, there are many leaders in the department.

The other part of the dressing room with sufficient backup is the midfield. Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde have already become regulars for both club and country, while Eduardo Camavinga promises a bright future too.

Enzo Fernandez was there to be a target for Los Blancos after his consistently high-quality performances for the Albiceleste in the World Cup, and rightfully so. However, there is now a change in the situation.

According to reports from Mario Cortegana, via the Four Amigos Podcast, the Argentine International is no longer a priority for Carlo Ancelotti’s side. However, it is not known whether Los Blancos’ pursuit of him is linked to the situation of Jude Bellingham or not.

The SL Benfica has been one of the finds of the tournament in Qatar. Despite starting on the bench initially, his good performances in the group stage have earned him a starting spot in Lionel Scaloni’s side.

He has taken part in all four of Argentina’s games so far, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. In addition to his keen eye for the goal, he averages nine defensive actions per game.

The youngster has had a good record for Benfica too this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in 13 league starts. Further, he has also created eight big chances and averages two key passes per game.

Recent reports have said that Real Madrid’s main midfield target, Jude Bellingham, is set to join Liverpool next summer after a long transfer saga. The sudden change in direction could bring back the Madrid-based side into the race for Fernandez.
