The 2022 FIFA World Cup continues to produce exciting moments as Belgium squared off against Canada for the second game from Group F.
The Red Devils did not start the game in the way they would have wanted, and were completely pegged back by the Canadian side.
Things got worse for them when Yannick Carrasco’s hand was struck inside the box during a Canadian corner.
A VAR review sent the decision against Belgium, and Alphonso Davies stepped up to take the penalty for Canada in the 15th minute.
Standing against him at 6’6″, Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois wasn’t ready to take any prisoners. The Real Madrid ace predicted Davies’ spot kick correctly to his right side, pulling off a crucial save.
