Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has said that Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala has everything needed to play for Real Madrid, adding that despite all the noise around him, he has managed to keep his feet on the ground.
Musiala, 19, has been one of the standout performers this season, registering 12 goals and 10 assists across all competitions for Bayern Munich. Interestingly enough, nine of those 12 strikes have come in Bundesliga alone followed by sevens assists in the league.
Called up in the Germany squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar, although Musiala is not among one of Madrid’s target, Rudiger has said that he has everything to play for the team from the capital city.
“What he is doing at Bayern… He is an outstanding footballer and a very, very good guy. He has his feet on the ground despite all the noise around him and he has everything to hopefully play here some day,” said Rudiger (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
Musiala moved to Bayern Munich in 2019 from Chelsea and made his first team debut a year later, becoming the youngest player to play a Bundesliga match for Bayern aged 17 years and 115 days.
In his first season as a regular starter, he played 37 games across all competitions in the 2020-21 season, scoring seven goals.
Known for his versatility, Musiala has played across six different positions this season. This includes playing as an attacking midfielder, central midfielder, holding midfielder, attacking winger (left and right), left midfielder, and as a full-fledged forward.
Meanwhile, although he is not one of Real’s targets, it will take a whole lot for the team to pry him away from Bayern even if they are considering it. This is because his current deal with the Germans champions runs until 2026.
